From the swamp of south west Florida comes “YARD DOG “ CHARLIE KUCHLER playing, writing and singing songs from the heart. Labeling his music is difficult, he calls it “FLORIDA SWAMP MUSIC”. He blends Cajun, zydeco, blue grass, country, folk and rock & roll into a fun uplifting and entertaining sound.
Along with his keyboard and accordion Charlie is a lifelong musician and, while in the popular Milwaukee based band Hat Trick, performed with C.J. Chenier, Buckwheat Zydeco, and Jimmy Buffett. He has performed at such venues as the House of Blues, Milwaukee’s Summerfest and Ohio’s famous Put-In-Bay. He has shared the stage with U-2, Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon and others. Along with being an accomplished musician Charlie has also been a booking agent, national talent buyer and promoter. His talent agency, Back Yard Talent, is also available for entertainment ideas.
In 2002 Charlie helped found the now disbanded touring band The Yard Dogs, who have played from Wisconsin to Key West. 11 CDs in 10 years. 
In his solo act Charlie performs many of his own original songs along with obscure but popular cover tunes. He uses backing tracks that he has created himself. This gives him a real band sound that will make audiences want to clap and dance along.  He even invites people to be guest rub board (wash board) players. 
He has released 14 solo CDs in the past 7 years including a 2014 Christmas CD "A BareFoot Christmas". All have been self recorded and produced in his home studio, "BACK YARD STUDIO".
